Abby Fuqua

Abby W. Fuqua serves as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Venturity Financial Partners. In addition to cultivating relationships with both referral partners and potential clients, Abby leads Venturity’s revenue growth strategy and manages the business development and marketing teams. Abby also works closely with the operations group to ensure that Venturity delivers on its promises and provides an unmatched client experience.  

What I’m Passionate About

I am passionate about being honest about who we are, what we are good at, and what the right fit looks like. I am passionate about leading with enthusiasm, integrity, and fun, and doing my part to ensure that our team, clients, and partners enjoy their time with Venturity. 

Another one of my passions is making connections for my network. I am always intrigued to learn about the problems our clients and referral partners solve with their businesses, and am committed to learning something new every day. Nothing motivates me more than chasing down a goal, and nothing is more exciting than accomplishing a goal with a great team. 

Where I’ve Been

I grew up in Plano, Texas and attended the University of Maryland, College Park where I received my bachelors in Operations Management and completed an honors program integrating business, computer science, and engineering. After starting my career in IT consulting in the Washington DC area, I quickly realized that I enjoyed the relational side of business more than the technical side. I moved to Los Angeles where I began my sales career and was able to couple my passion for discovery and communication with my ability to connect with technical experts to ensure follow-through. 

I moved home to Dallas and joined Venturity in 2015 where I found my professional home. 

What I Do in My Spare Time

I have been an active participant in many groups and have served on several boards. I am Past President of the Association of Corporate Growth, DFW as well as Past President of Dream Team Women’s Network. I have served as a judge for the DMagazine Financial Executive Awards and am a longtime member of the Women’s Finance Exchange. I am former Treasurer and currently on the board of the Dallas Hebrew Free Loan Association. I enjoy taking trips without an itinerary as well as a good DJ set. Ultimately, there’s nothing better than spending time with my husband Brandon and our two sons Mayer and Emmett.
