What I’m Passionate About
There’s nothing I enjoy more than spending the day onsite at a client’s office learning about their business and strategizing on ways to overcome obstacles and increase value in the financial advisory and accounting marketplace. I have a true passion for all things “client facing.” It’s where we learn and understand better how we can make a lasting impact on our client’s success. I’m all about reimagining our client’s experience and making it memorable.
I also get energy from collaborating with our team on new lines of business as well as implementing short and long-term strategic goals for our company. I’m an evangelist for open book management and believe transparency, vulnerability and empowerment is critical to a company’s success.
Where I’ve Been
After graduating from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Finance and later an MBA from Southern Methodist University, the early part of my career was focused on Investment Banking and Leveraged Lending with Salomon Brothers, GE Capital Corporation and Banque Paribas. These experiences taught me the importance of establishing good processes and having your financial house in order.
What I Do in My Spare Time
I have been involved in and held board positions with several professional and community organizations, including the Association for Corporate Growth, Women’s Finance Exchange, SMU Business Associates Program, Genesis Women’s Shelter and National Charity League. I currently serve as Board President and Executive Committee Head of St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, snow skiing, and spending time with my husband, grown children and family in the Texas Hill Country.
When working through a difficult situation my coach taught me to first detach from the outcome and then ask myself, “Could the opposite be true?” It works every time.
